Third-party apps for doing tunes, games, papers and magazines and books, tons of good stuff, but IMHO they just didn't really sell it very well (aside from the books). My Ipod Touch goes dead after an hour or so for no good reason and will not reconnect even after resetting the wifi network. I have called Linksys and Apple several times, getting to the second level support of each and no one is able to help. My other wifi devices continue to work just fine. Turning off encryption does not help. There is a problem with the Ipod and Apple knows it. Hopefully it will be fixed when version 3.0 comes out in June 2009. Until then, I'll probably buy a new router. Maybe a Dlink. There is a problem with older wireless Linksys routers. So then I had to pull out my old trusty BEFW11S4 V4 and to my demise my Ipod touch seemed to not like my old router (slooooooow to connect, dropped signal, time outs..) . I did some research online and seems a lot of people have had the same issue. After not finding a straight solution I started playing with the router settings. The solution for me was this: Go to your router settings 192.168.1.1----> Go to the 'Wireless' tab -----> 'Advanced wireless settings' ------> change the 'Beacon interval' to: 65535 ----- save settings ----> power cycle your router and modem for safe measure (I didn't powercycle btw and still worked for me) My Ipod touch is now able to connect without affecting any other connection issues! (no drop signals, no slow connection). All my PC's can still conncet as well as my TIVO boxes and my PS3 Also I have the 'Basic Rate set to 1-2-5.5-11Mpbs, 128 bit WEP enabled, and MAC filtering on too.
